About the County Line Riders of Catalina
CLRC's mission statement: CLRC is dedicated
to the acquisition and preservation of trails & the equestrian
way of life.
County
Line
Riders of Catalina, Inc, became an organization in June 1994 to work on
access issues in the Catalina Area. Losing trails and access to those
trails got us involved, and we continue to work daily on access issues
in Pima and Southern Pinal County for all non-mechanized trail users. We
build/and/or maintain the Apache Peak section of the AZ Trail; a portion
of the 50 year trail; and the Tortolita Preserve trail in Marana, and
volunteer on various Forest Projects. We work with the Forest, Game &
Fish, Pima/Pinal County, Town of
Marana, and other agencies, along with other
Trails Access & Preservation groups such as Pima Trails Association. We
are a part of the Adopt-A-Ranch program with Game & Fish, helping a
local rancher with whatever he needs us to do.
CLRC
sponsors monthly trail rides and overnight camping trips, the Annual Catalina Classic Competitive Trail
Ride and participates in the Annual Tucson Rodeo Parade, At our
monthly meetings and get-togethers, you will have an opportunity to meet
other members and hear interesting speakers.
